Community Impact
The Habitat ReStore is a good deal for you, your community, and the environment!Get Involved with the Habitat ReStore
The ReStore is more than just a shopping destination; it’s a community hub dedicated to supporting Monroe County. In addition to selling donated/purchased building materials, home improvement items, furniture, and appliances, we host several other community-focused initiatives that provide ways for people to get involved, give back, and make a positive impact.
Volunteer at the ReStore:
The Habitat ReStore welcomes volunteers daily to assist with various store operations. Volunteering at the ReStore is a flexible and rewarding experience that can fulfill student service hours, community service time, and more. As a volunteer, you could be helping with a variety of tasks, such as creating decorative displays, providing customer service, stocking store shelves, unloading trucks, helping with donation pickups, pricing inventory, organizing the store and warehouse, and even maintaining the landscape outside to ensure the ReStore looks welcoming to visitors. Every task, big or small, helps the ReStore run smoothly. If you’re interested in volunteering at the store, please call (734) 243-1108.
Annual Coat Drive:
Each winter season, from November to March, the Habitat ReStore hosts a Coat Drive to provide warmth and support to those in need during the colder months. We gladly accept new and gently-used coats of all sizes, colors, and brands, as long as they are in good condition. In addition to coats, we also welcome donations of winter gear like hats, scarves, and gloves to ensure our community stays fully protected from the cold. Your generous contributions make a real difference in the lives of local families, and we’re deeply thankful for your continued support each year.
