3rd Annual La-Z-Boy Playhouse Team Build

Is a playhouse something your child(ren) would love, but circumstances make it hard to provide?
We encourage you to apply for this exciting project!
Our 3rd Annual Playhouse Team Build is coming to Monroe County this September! In partnership with La-Z-Boy Incorporated, Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County will pair selected families with La-Z-Boy Employee Resource Group (ERG) teams, who will design and build a custom playhouse tailored to your child(ren)’s favorite colors, themes, and dream ideas, all in a single day. With Habitat’s construction guidance, the teams will build each playhouse, then present it directly to the children. It is a joyful experience that sparks creativity and fosters the value of homeownership at an early age!
Playhouses are completely free to recipient families. This program is not based on income; selection is based on need. If your family has faced medical challenges, job loss, or other life setbacks that make this type of gift difficult to provide, we want to hear from you.
Recipient families commit to:

Completing an application with your child(ren)’s ages, names, favorite colors, theme ideas, and any special construction needs (for example, wheelchair accessibility).

Sharing your story and allowing limited publicity for the project.

Agree to attend and pick up the Playhouse on the day of the event, September 30th!
Deadline:
Applications must be received by Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025. Selected families will be notified by Wednesday, September 10th, 2025.
