On August 26, volunteers with St Mary Our Lady of the Annunciation Church in Rockwood built on a new house on Detroit Beach (Monroe). The fourteen volunteers, including one of our long time regulars, worked alongside Habitat staff and a future homeowner to raise the garage walls, among other important tasks.

During August, dozens of DTE employees volunteered with Habitat Monroe on our build sites. August is DTE's corporate month of caring. Groups worked on five separate days, volunteering their time and talents alongside our future homeowners to help build strength, stability, and self reliance through shelter. In addition to the volunteers, Habitat received funding through the DTE Foundation.
