For Immediate Release:
Habitat for Humanity of Monroe’s Virtual Fundraiser Raises Over $37K
Monroe, MI – February 10th, 2022 – Habitat for Humanity’s online survey fundraiser, the Square Foot Challenge, has raised $37,886 in just four weeks.
Habitat Monroe’s Square Foot Challenge is a virtual fundraiser which began on January 10th and ran through February 8th. The Challenge was 100% online and gave community members the opportunity to raise $150 for Habitat for Humanity, without opening their wallets or leaving the comfort of home!
Habitat’s fundraiser was hosted by HundredX, a wonderful online fundraising company with a mission to do good, give consumers a voice, and create financial impact for good causes. Participants simply signed up with their cell phone or computer, then completed short, 45-second surveys. For each completed survey, $2 will be donated to Habitat Monroe.
Through this program last year, Habitat Monroe was able to generate over $36,000 because of support from local businesses, as well the Monroe community. While Habitat Monroe exceeded 2021’s fundraising total, the non-profit’s $40,000 goal has not yet been reached. Funds for just 14 square feet are needed to reach Habitat’s goal!
