Monroe, MI – March 24, 2022 –The Home Depot Foundation will be helping Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County make several improvements to their available home in April.
The Home Depot Foundation is generously providing supplies and labor to make several improvements to a completed Habitat home in Monroe. They will be upgrading the front and back landscaping, painting the inside of the house, replacing fixtures, revamping the back decks and firepit, and providing a brand new fridge, flagpole and mailbox for the home.
Construction is set to take place on April 14th, 2022. The Home Depot Foundation is providing all of the needed supplies for this project. Thirty Home Depot volunteers will be coming out to help with the labor as well. Employees from ten Home Depot stores across Michigan and Ohio will be involved.
Habitat believes brighter futures start at home. By overcoming the obstacle of fluctuating and high rental costs, Habitat homeowners can shift their resources to eating healthier and higher quality foods, receiving adequate health care, and seeking better education and employment opportunities for themselves and their children. Access to decent and affordable homes builds brighter futures for families and children and creates a better future for our entire community!
Together, we help hardworking families and individuals hope for a brighter future: by helping them build and buy their own decent and affordable homes. Families can overcome the obstacles that stand between them and healthier, more financially stable lives.
