Did you know that August 19th is #WorldPhotoDay? We want to celebrate!
Here’s how: #ShowUsYourHabitat
Habitat means something different to everyone. To us, Habitat represents a safe and affordable shelter. To others, it could mean their spot, their sanctuary, their re-charge space. Your Habitat could be in a kayak on River Raisin, it could be with the birds in your back yard, anywhere that helps you regain strength, stability, and self-reliance.
What does Habitat mean to you? If you’re a supporter of Habitat, we want to see you! We want to hear you! This is your time to be loud and proud about Habitat. We want to see what makes you YOU! What is your Habitat?
Starting NATIONAL PHOTO DAY, August 19th, join us in #ShowUsYourHabitat, a month-long photo contest that will connect us in a time of distance and help us remember the importance of Habitat. Enter the contest by posting a photo showing us YOUR Habitat and tag @hfhmonroe! This is your chance to GET CREATIVE and show off your Habitat, wherever that may be.
At the beginning of October, YOU will be asked to vote for your favorite photo! Habi staff will narrow down all the submissions down to FIVE FINAL CANDIDATES then YOU will be asked to tell us which photo you think is the winner! The winning photo will be featured as our Facebook cover photo for October, featured in Habitat Monroe’s quarterly e-blast, and receive a swag basket of prizes including a ReStore gift card!
