Team Building days are great way for groups to strengthen their personal bonds to improve their professional work. We firmly believe in the importance of days like this, here at Habitat Monroe because teamwork truly does, as they say, make the dream work.

Habitat Monroe celebrated their annual team build day on Mon. Aug 27 at new downriver business Rev’d Up Fun, owned by none other than the family of our very own Director of Fund Development Kristin Johnson.

Rev’d Up Fun offers a unique experience for kids and adults alike. The activity filled business offers featured attractions such as an XD Dark Ride, Motor City Muscle Bumper Cars, Automotive Alley Ballocity, Junkyard Wars Laser Tag, and a Rev’d Up Ropes Course. They also have a restaurant, bar, and an awesome arcade area.

Rev’ Up is the perfect place for our team building day because there was truly something for everyone. Our team found out the hidden talents of many of our staff members. Project manager Emily Gacioch took the top spot in the group’s laser tag battle and ReStore director Cheri Willis defeated the most werewolves in our werewolf themed Dark Ride experience.

We also got the full birthday party experience, complete with magic tricks, as we celebrated our media manager Jennifer Hockenberger’s birthday.

Having fun with the people that you work with is so important, especially since you spend the majority of your week interacting with them. This fun and competitive team build day was the perfect refresher for our staff and we already can’t wait to have another event at Rev’d Up Fun!
