Habitat for Humanity of Monroe Receives $5,000 from Meijer

Monroe, MI – December 16th, 2021– Habitat for Humanity of Monroe recently received a $5,000 donation from Meijer Distribution Facility of Newport.

Habitat for Humanity of Monroe is excited to announce that the organization has been selected to receive a $5,000 donation from Meijer of Newport.

Meijer has a long history of enriching their community through their Team Give Program. This year, the team worked together as a diverse committee to research, nominate, and vote on a local nonprofit organization to receive a special, one-time donation from Meijer.

Meijer has donated nearly $3 million to local nonprofits across the Midwest this year. This is Meijer’s first-ever donation that engaged its store and distribution facility team members to identify and select the nonprofits due to their local ties.

“We are excited to provide this special 2021 donation on behalf of our Meijer team members from DF 883 and extend our best wishes for your continued success,” comments Matthew Fedewa, Meijer Distribution Facility Unit Director.
