The HOPE program consists of four components
Financial Capability Workshop
This twelve-hour class will increase your financial knowledge and confidence. Topics covered include creating a spending plan, obtaining and using credit effectively, building and repairing credit, and creating a savings plan.
Home Buyer Workshop
This six-hour class introduces the home buying process, basic financial management, and information about finance options. If you are interested in MSHDA down payment assistance or a MSHDA loan product, this class completes your home buyer education requirement.
Foreclosure Prevention Counseling
Provides individuals who are experiencing a finiancial hardship with tools, skills and resources to assist in understanding the stages of foreclosure, stabilizing your housing, and avoiding foreclosure, or transitioning to more affordable housing options.
Individual Financial Coaching
Work with our personal financial coach to create financial goals, establish healthy financial skills, and create a budget that aligns your income and expenses with your financial goals.
Habitat offers financial coaching in-house through a program called Habitat HOPE.
Habitat HOPE is to provide empowerment through financial education to all of Monroe County.
