Habitat Monroe broke ground on the site of its 100th home, on Tuesday, May 15, at 661 Western Ave. in Monroe County. Habitat held a short ceremony to celebrate the milestone event, where President and C.E.O, M.David Graves, addressed Habitat staff, board members, and other Habitat partners. He thanked everyone who has helped Habitat get to this point as he made the first dig on the site. Director of Development, Kristin Johnson, then recited a short prayer calling for the blessing of this project.
Habitat Monroe will continue to work on the house for the majority of the summer with an expected completion date later this year.
